Emergency Response System

Emergency Call Boxes (ECB) are provided at every two Km on both sides of the Elevated and Ground Level Roads for making calls to the Control Room in the main Base Camp. Instructions for use of the ECBs are displayed in the ECB.ECBs are powered by a Solar Power:

At the Camps one Basic Life Support Ambulance and Light Recovery Vehicle with crew are placed for assistance on call.A mobile Route Patrol each will be patrolling the Elevated Road and At Grade Road as a quick reaction response team

In the event of a personal and or mechanical casualty the Control Centre can be informed from the nearest ECB for assistance. For speedy assistance, the Caller should give in English/Kannada/Hindi:(a) location of mishap (personal/mechanical casualty or both) with Carriageway and direction (Main Carriageway or Service Road), towards (Hosur/Bangalore) approximate Km or nearest prominent place/land mark (b) injury/distress to person(s) (c) name(s) of person(s) or vehicle particulars; and assistance required i.e. evacuation of personal or mechanical or both casualty.

Control Centre will dispatch the nearest Ambulance/Light Recovery or both and also the Route Patrol to the site of the mishap. Personnel casualties will be evacuated to the nearest hospital in the Project limit for further management. Mechanical casualty will be similarly evacuated to the work shop in the Project limit. It is to be noted that, BETL is responsible only for evacuation to the nearest hospital/workshop in the Project limit and not beyond.

In both cases Local Police will be notified.
